I had never seen a single episode of The Office before the Superbowl but we watched "the Stress episode" at Daniels house after the game and I have to admit that I was immediately hooked. So over the past week and a half I have been watching the office non stop and I finally caught up to the latest episode. I guess it is a little addicting because you're watching Steve Carell and thinking, fucking shit, can anyone really be that gad dam ignorant and stoopid?! It is pure comedy, it's like shut up you idiot, the more you talk the dumber you look!!! one of my favorite lines from him is when he was explaining to his boss David Wallace why his branch is doing so well.....

Apple
Not that I'm not happy with my current job, but I recently applied to Apple as an in-store specialist. It's a win win. I figure it will keep myself busier, build my computer skills and hook me up with a phat discount haha. Sometimes i just get tired of the same ol thing from my job now, I mean its chill and all but I would like a new challenge. We'll see wassup. Wish me luck!!

Why so Serious?!

And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. No really, how did he know?
I think Mr. Jefferson meant that as Individuals our natural inclination is to progress and at the moment we stop, we are no longer happy.
It makes perfect sense.
In reality, my life, your life and the life of others is really what WE make of it. I finally finished school in december, and although its been kinda slow because I only work and no longer take classes or go to my internship, I remain happy. Happy because I am always on the go and constantly looking at ways to improve myself and my surroundings. I think if I was doing nothing and sitting around all day I would be miserable, but Im not and Im sure as hell glad. I know I have the tools to make a successful career in whatever I choose, whether it be an L.C.S.W. or Child & Family Law. I just need to commit.
Sometimes bullshit happens to us and we let it continue to affect our lives over and over again, and then we blame those who have wronged us instead of looking at ourselves and taking the responsibility to change our own circumstances. We have more power than we think and in the end, it really is all in the mind.
There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said "God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats, you dummy!"
The passage above is another line from The Pursuit of Happyness and it's just grounding because it reminds me to think about all the little things that matter and to not ignore them when they are present whether it be good or bad. There are signs all around us, in every way shape and form. They are kinda like our natural guiders. We just have to look beyond the black and white to see the gray.

Update on my Band....
True Friends never skip a beat....
It was great spending the day with my band mates, hadn't seen or talked to some of them in about a month, but hanging out today, really shows how true of friends we really are.
It's a great feeling to say the least.

Color me Bad
What a difference color makes,

Rooms pretty much done, just gotta finish painting the ceiling. I've noticed my mood changes when i walk in to my room. I no longer stare at lame white walls. I really like doing projects like these, it feels really good. I've done all the stucco/sanding/priming/painting thus far. Wish I had more time on my hands, id be at home depot all the time haha.
Just gotta sweep up all the sand dust off the floor and add crown molding & floor boarders.

DIY
L&O has come along way since its debut in Fall of '07. To be recognized by karmaloop.com is quite an honor to all hopeful newcomers. I tip my hat off to these guys not only because they made it this far but because they have done so by doing it all themselves. DIY. I've known these dood's for a while now and it's really cool to see how genuine they are about the products they distribute and how much time and effort goes into their business. Seeing them persevere through the tuff times and really just gut it out makes you realize that nothing is ever too hard, it just takes time and patience. It's all in the mind. Goodluck L&O, and keep your eye on the prize.

Night Riders
Last night was....
incredible to say the least.....
such a chill bike ride through downtown LA with Mike, Manalo, David & Dustin....
just to feel the wind on my face riding through the night with great friends really made me feel invincible....
LA is even more beautiful at night....
Originally David and I were gonna hit up 24 hour, but I couldn't get a pass from Costco because my membership had expired and I sure as hell didn't want to pay the renewal fee.
We heard about a bike ride in dt La from Mike, so we figured fuck it why not, we've been wanting to go for some time, just didn't have the bikes, so we met up at the Manahansion in Hacienda and we were off.
Finnaly met up with Mike & Manalo somewhere off of Cesar Chavez st. and from there we took off
to top it off....ending the night at the REDWOOD pirate ass bar for Mike's 23rd Bday....
Such a chill ass bar, pirate themed & really chill people, nice place to just grab a cold one(s) and kick it in the patio.
I really just wanna explore LA and find all the dopest dive bars out there, because there has to be tons of them, hidden treasures, just waiting to be discovered....
Happy Birthday Mike, glad we were there to celebrate it with you at midnight
Nights like these make me really enjoy the simple things in life and take advantage of them =)
